Updated kitchens and plenty of space are still a top item for home buyers, but what are new-home buyers’ also looking for when house hunting?
1. Walk-in closets: his-and-hers closets in the master bedroom.
2. Luxurious laundry rooms: upgraded laundry rooms with skylights, built-in ironing boards, space for folding clothes, extra storage.
3. Energy efficiency: energy efficiency appliances and products. Low e-windows, Energy Star appliances, and programmable thermostats.
4. Great rooms: large open spaces that often merge dining rooms, living rooms, and kitchens continue to be in high-demand.
5. Taller first-floor ceilings: nine-foot ceiling heights or higher.
