Greetings Soap Box Derby Racers and Families!

It’s time to get ready for our oh-so-special Folsom Soap Box Derby. We had such a good time last year. It was great to see new racers grasp the sport, and seasoned racers jump back into the Folsom challenge. We are expecting a great turnout this year….word has it that the Folsom venue has become a favorite in the distant SBD circles!

This means we’ll be looking forward to our traveling families returning. These are folks who have come from afar and have become friends. Our Folsom families were terrific last year….we had such a great showing of new and seasoned racers, with lots of new car owners. We’d like to see those cars return this year, so get them out, dust them off, make sure they’re race-ready, and let’s get this party started!

One change this year, is that we are going to have the customary two races on Saturday, but only one race on Sunday. This will allow for a bit less mayhem on Sunday, a bit more recovery time at the end of the day, and an earlier departure time for the traveling families.
